Instrumental Quartet @ National Gallery

There's something about the National Gallery that makes music sound different: maybe it's the light, maybe it's the ceilings, maybe it's just knowing you're playing inside a piece of history. Our quartet set up saxophone, violin, upright bass, and keyboard for an evening that moved between warmth and swing without ever losing the room's elegance. "Isn't She Lovely" had heads nodding within the first few bars, and by "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," guests were singing along under their breath.
