Who is Elegant Swing? 

Elegant Swing is a Singapore-based jazz entertainment company founded in 2009 by Norman, a Berklee College of Music graduate. For over 16 years and 3,000+ engagements, we've provided refined live jazz for corporate galas, product launches, award ceremonies, annual D&Ds, and selected weddings and private events across Singapore. 

 

What kind of music do you play? 

We specialise in jazz - from Shanghai jazz and swing to bossa nova and modern classics. Every set is curated to match your event's tone and venue, so the music enhances the atmosphere without ever overpowering it. 

 

How far in advance should we book? 

We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for peak season dates, to secure your preferred lineup. Popular dates can fill up months ahead, so early enquiries give us the best chance to match you with the right ensemble. 

 

What's the booking process?

How many musicians do we need for our event? 

It depends on your venue size and the atmosphere you're after. We offer everything from a trio up to a full jazz sextet - a trio suits an intimate, refined setting, while a quartet or quintet brings a fuller, more elevated presence for grander occasions. We're happy to recommend the right size once we know more about your event. 

 

Can you perform outdoors or at rooftop and garden venues? 

Yes, we've performed at a wide range of venue types across Singapore. Let us know your venue when you enquire so we can advise on setup, power, and any acoustic considerations specific to the space. 

 

What do you need from the venue? 

Generally we'll need a suitable performance area, power access, and basic setup time before the event starts. Exact requirements depend on ensemble size and venue layout, so we'll confirm specifics with you once your booking is underway. 

 

How long do you perform for? 

Set lengths are tailored to your event - whether that's background music through a cocktail hour and dinner, or a set structured around a program of speeches and award presentations. We'll work out timing together when planning your event. 

 

Can we request specific songs? 

Yes, we welcome song requests and are happy to incorporate specific pieces that are meaningful to you or your guests into the set. 

 

What if our guest count or event date changes?
